John Howe

3/21/98 In 1695 he with others, was given permission to take up a field of forty acres at Daton's Hill, and improve the same for corn. He lived in New Haven at the time of his marriage, but soon after he appears to have lived in Durham, Connecticut. In 1720 he sold the land at Daton's Hill. According to some of his descendants, he was born in London, England. The records of New Haven disprove this tradition. He is said to have died in his 95th year, which if true, would make the year of his death about 1750.
