10/22/00 On October 12, around 8 PM, it was learned that Uncle Jerry had passed away. He was suffering from bladder cancer and emphysema. His death was very tragic in that he took his own life. Uncle Jerry shot himself in the head with one of the many guns that he owned. The type and caliber is not known to this author. There were no calling hours and only a grave side service. He was buried on Monday, October 16, 2000 in Glendale Cemetery in Akron, Ohio. Attending the services were many family and friends. The eulogy was given by James R. Howe.
