Florence Marie Kash, 90, of Akron, died Sunday, February 25, 2007 at Chapel Hill Community in Canal Fulton.
She was born March 25, 1916, in Akron to Charles and Mabel (France) McConnell. She received her Master's Degree in Education from Southeastern State University in Durant, Oklahoma. She retired in 1990 from Lincoln Elementary School in Ardmore, Oklahoma. She was a member of Eastern Star and various educational organizations in Oklahoma.
She is survived by her daughters, Jeanne Ann (William) Abbott of Minerva, Linda (Chip) Hartong of Akron and Marie (Ronald) Weltzheimer of Edmond, Oklahoma; twelve grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; sisters, Lillian Geistweite of South Carolina and Amy Puckett of Kent. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Kash; son, Paul Kash; and brother, Charles McConnell.
Calling hours will be held 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Bissler & Sons Funeral Home and Crematory, where funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Friday, with Pastor Sandra Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be at Standing Rock Cemetery in Kent. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association, c/o Alzheimer's Research, 1815 W. Market Street, Suite 301, Akron, OH 44313.
